Placing an Online Reservation
- Enter your patron login and password number.
Patron login is your school number and the last four digits of your social security number.
Example: 2320000
School Number: 232
Last four digits of your Social Security Number: 0000
Patron password is the last two digits of your birth year and the two digits of your birth month.
Example: 6401
Birth Year: 1964
Birth Month: 01 (January)
Select the "Login" button.
- Type the title or subject in the "Search For" field.
- Using an "all words" search will produce more complete search results.
- Locate the item you want from the title list and click on the specific title to see more detailed information.
- Scroll to the bottom of this page to make your reservation.
- In the "Start Date" entry bar, enter the date you wish to receive an item. Make sure you use numbers and enter as month/date/year (January 25, 2006 would look like 01/25/06.)
Remember when choosing a starting date, delivery days are Monday through Friday each week. Please do not start reservations on non-delivery days.
- Leave the "End Date" BLANK unless you will return the item in fewer days than the normal item reservation period.
Example:
Start Date: mm/dd/yy
End Date: Leave Blank
All items have a limited reservation period that is automattically set in the computer. If you enter an "End Date" longer than the set reservation period, a message stating the allowed load period will be displayed.
- Select the "Place Reservation" button. Notice: you MUST send the principals authorization to the District Media BEFORE you will receive VTR selections.
- Notice a confirmation screen verifying your reservation -- (the date you will receive the item and the date the item must be physically back at the District Media Center).
If possible, return item(s) before the due date so they will be available online for others.
- If you would like to continue to reserve more items, close the confirmation screen and select the "New Search" button. You will NOT be asked for your Patron ID# or Password again for additional reservation bookings while still logged into the reservation system.
- If you have made a mistake and would like to have a reservation removed, please call the AIMC (717-4754) and we will remove it for you.
- When you are finished using the catalog, YOU MUST LOG OFF. Select the button labeled "Log Off" at the Top Left Corner of the Search Page. This prevents others from using your access codes in the catalog. If you log off by mistake you will have to log on again when asked for your Patron ID# and Password.
